Congressman Tim Bishop
Congressman Tim Bishop has been a great asset in the planning of certain phases of development of New Beginnings Community Center. He and his staff have and continue to be essential elements in guiding, advising, educating, and supporting its founder, Allyson Scerri and her team. On July 31, 2009, Congressman Tim Bishop, together with other Members of Congress voted to support our service members by passing the National Defense Authorization Act, which keeps its commitment to our troops and their families by granting over $42 billion for healthcare; and, excellent healthcare is one of New Beginnings Community Center’s primary goals for our TBI veterans. To that end, Congressman Bishop has assisted New Beginnings in our TRICARE Certification process. TRICARE was introduced by the Department of Defense in response to the challenge of maintaining medical combat readiness while providing the best healthcare for active duty and retired members of the uniformed services. In order to provide enhanced effectiveness in the delivery of healthcare to the military and to our veterans, it is imperative that a facility like New Beginnings become a TRICARE participant. Thus, Congressman Bishop has succeeded in pointing New Beginnings in the right direction. His assistance reflects his support of New Beginnings and, by extension, his support of our injured service members and veterans.

The reason The Wolf Law Group, P.C. ("WLG") has become part of the "New Beginnings" team is because of the close relationship of WLG's founder, Jerry Wolf, with the Barone family patriarch, Al Barone. Al's motorcycle accident which occurred in January of 2007, and its aftermath of trauma, terror and tribulations for Al and his family, inspired his daughter Allyson to help other victims and their family members, suffering from TBI. Allyson's herculean effort to create something good and noble from her family tragedy has inspired all of us at WLG. Therefore it is our goal as lawyers and counselors, to assist the members of the New Beginnings community to navigate the legal hurdles and seize the opportunities provided by the law in order to benefit TBI victims and their families.
